Normally I post updates on what is happening in the ministry. However, for this edition I would like to report what is happening in my family.
Many people are impacted in one way or another by cancer. I know people who have passed away from cancer. Brent Searway, a good friend and former Executive Director of Agua Viva, passed away over a year ago from cancer. This topic hits close to home.
Even closer than the previous paragraph indicated. Literally at home. My dad is currently struggling with cancer that has metastasized to the bones. He is currently at home in the Hospice program. I have been travelling back to Phoenix when I am able to be a support to my parents. As you can imagine, a serious health issue can produce a lot of stress beyond what normal life will produce. The Lord has been putting on my heart the need to be a support in this time of need.
Please pray about this situation. Please pray for my dad as he struggles. The Lord can still perform a miracle in his body. Whatever the Lord chooses to do with this, pray that He be glorified. Please pray for the whole family. Pray especially for my parents. Pray for the opportunities to build good memories.
Pray for me as He leads me to be a support to the family in this time of need and any future decisions.
